Does the cable have to be put into the plaster? Normally sinking the cable that runs down the walls into the plaster is the best method. It puts is out of sight, and after you've decorated you may even forget that it's there. But if you don't want this to happen then the cable can be placed in trunking on the surface of your wall. We can show you the options available to you while we are discussing what you would like to be done.

Note 1. Older installations (typically over 40 years old) may not have an earth connection within the lighting wiring. This does not, in itself, mean that your lighting should be rewired and is not a problem if you only have plastic lighting accessories. If, however, you want to have metal accessories installed then these must be earthed. We will advise you on this while we are discussing your requirements. All newer installations have an earth included.
